Abstract

DR. HELLMANN has devoted himself with indefatigable application to the unearthing of those rare publications which illustrate the growth of an intelligent interest in the sciences of meteorology and magnetism, when these subjects first attracted attention after the period of the Renaissance. Our columns have from time to time borne witness to his energy and to the merit of his selections.
