Correction to: J. Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities
In the abstract, the statement of 9 initiated but not completed the vaccine, and 11 completed the HPV vaccine series should say 11 initiated but not completed the vaccine and 9 completed the HPV vaccine series.
In the abstract, the statement 8 out of 11 stated parents with adolescents who initiated the HPV vaccine series received a provider’s recommendation should state 7 out of 11.
Here are the corrected statements in the abstract:
We applied a qualitative, phenomenological study design to conduct semi-structured interviews with African American parent–child dyads representing children who were unvaccinated (n = 10), had initiated but not completed (n = 11), or had completed the HPV vaccine series (n = 9).
Parents stating they received a provider’s recommendation increased by vaccination status (unvaccinated: 6 out of 10; initiated: 7 out of 11; completed: 9 out of 9).
