Christine Strauss is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Statistics, University of Vienna, Austria. She holds a master’s degree in business informatics from the University of Vienna and a doctoral degree in economics from the University of Zurich, Switzerland. She is the head of the research group on Electronic Business at the University of Vienna. Her current research focuses on the field of electronic business, with particular emphasis on e-Services.

Gabriele Kotsis received her Ph.D. (1995, honored with the Heinz-Zemanek Preis) and the venia docendi in computer science (2000) from the University of Vienna, Austria. Since December 2002 she is chair of the Telecooperation Department at the Johannes Kepler University of Linz. Her research interests include performance management of computer systems and networks, workgroup computing, mobile and internet computing.

Eric Pardede received the Master of Information Technology degree and Ph.D. degree in computer science from La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia, in2002 and 2006, respectively. He is currently a Lecturer with the Department of Computer Science and Computer Engineering, La Trobe University. He has wide range of teaching and research experience including in the area of databases, software engineering, information systems, entrepreneurship, and professional communication.

Fatos Xhafa holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Department of Languages and Informatics Systems (LSI) of the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC), Barcelona, Spain. He was a Visiting Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems, Birkbeck, University of London, UK (2009/2010) and a Research Associate at College of Information Science and Technology, Drexel University, Philadelphia, USA (2004/2005). He holds a permanent position of Professor Titular at the Department of LSI, UPC (Spain). His research interests include parallel and distributed algorithms and systems, combinatorial optimization, approximation and meta-heuristics, networking and distributed computing, Grid and P2P computing.
