Résumé

Dénutrition et dépendance représentent deux facteurs pronostiques indépendants chez les personnes âgées. Et pourtant, dénutrition et dépendance sont souvent intriquées, surtout chez les malades âgés polypathologiques; la dénutrition peut représenter à la fois une cause et une conséquence de la dépendance. Ainsi, le dépistage de la dénutrition doit faire partie du bilan chez une personne âgée en perte d’autonomie. Enfin, la prise en charge nutritionnelle et la rééducation-réadaptation doivent être menées de front chez une personne âgée dépendante.
