Abstract
The articulate brachiopod fauna (Rhynchonelliformea) of the Brazilian shelf is poorly known, with published occurrence records mainly restricted to the southeastern coast. This study describes three brachiopod species recovered in an expedition to Canopus Bank (Ceará Guyot, Brazilian northeastern coast), namely Tichosina martinicensis (Terebratulidae), Terebratulina cailleti (Cancellothyrididae) and Argyrotheca sp. (Megathyrididae). The range of Tichosina martinicensis is greatly expanded southward from Martinica to the northeastern Brazilian shelf. The southernmost occurrence of Terebratulina cailleti is confirmed for the coast of São Paulo.
