Abstract

Sugarcane is one of the most important cash crops in many countries, and this crop is colonized by different insects. During sampling and survey from October 2015 to January 2016 in Salman Agro-industry Farms, Iran psocids species was collected on sugarcane varieties, CP48-103, L62-96, IRC99-02 and CP69-1062. The species was identified as Trogium apterum Broadhead & Richards. This is the first record of the genus Trogium apterum (family Trogiidae) occurring on sugarcane.
