Resumen

Se describe e ilustra a Megastigma chiangii. Ésta se distingue de las especies conocidas del género por presentar flores pentámeras, inflorescencias con más de 40 flores y distribución restringida al bosque mesófilo de montaña en la Sierra Madre del Sur en el estado de Guerrero, México. Se incluye una clave para las especies del género Megastigma.

Abstract

Megastigma chiangii is described and illustrated. It is distinguished from related species by its pentamerous flowers, inflorescences with more than 40 flowers, and distribution restricted to cloud forest vegetation in the Sierra Madre del Sur in the state of Guerrero, Mexico. A key to the species of Megastigma is included.
