Abstract
Breaking bad news elicits negative emotions for doctors. Favoring doctors’ awareness of these negative emotions by training courses can reduce their negative effects. These training courses are based upon simulated consultations and group discussion between pairs. We ought to stress the necessity to improve personal awareness of unrecognized emotions in medical practice. We argue that group discussion implying peer and supervisor feedback can lead to improve personal awareness teaching.
