Results are provided for thermal analysis and x-ray microanalysis of specimens from industrial ingots of aluminum alloy B-1461 based on the system Al – Cu – Li. A two-stage regime homogenization is proposed for industrial aluminum alloy B-1461 ingots, providing formation of uniformly distributed dispersed phases of compact shape within the microstructure, an increase in relative elongation, and a reduction in alloy yield strength in the temperature range 440 – 460°C.
