Investigation of the stressed state of an orthotropic shell of arbitrary curvature with an internal crack

Journal of Mathematical Sciences Aims and scope Submit manuscript

We construct the solution of the problem of the stressed state of an orthotropic shell of arbitrary curvature with an internal crack. A system of singular integral equations is obtained and solved by the method of mechanical quadratures. We investigate the influence of the curvature of the shell, the depth of the crack, and its length on the stress intensity factors, force intensity factors, and moment intensity factors.
