Abstract

A semianalytic method is used to calculate the transient responses of a lossless multiconductor transmission line with nonlinear loads. The Volterra integral equation for the current response is obtained by combining the linear transmission line equivalence and the voltage–current relations of the nonlinear terminations. The analytic expressions of parameters in the Volterra integral equation are obtained using the Baum–Liu–Tesche equation and analytic Fourier transformation, and then the Volterra integral equation can be simplified. Finally, a simulation example is illustrated to validate this method.
