Video 1 – Cardiac auscultation is combined with visual phonocardiogram. The video is a combination of two different recordings – first seven beats (stethoscope placed at apex; combined bell and diaphragm mode) is of the high pitched vegetation plop along with the pan-systolic murmur; the next 10 beats (stethoscope placed between apex and left parasternal region; diaphragm mode) constitute the audio recordings of the first and second heart sound and the high pitched mid-diastolic vegetation plop. Video 2 – Apical 4-chamber view showing the freely mobile vegetation attached to the anterior mitral leaflet. The vegetation hits the left ventricular apex/inter-ventricular septum during diastole. (AVI 1483 kb)
