Japans Hauptstadt in Deutschland –

wie Düsseldorf sich zum wichtigsten Ziel japanischer Investitionen machte

Zusammenfassung

Lokale Akteure wie Stadtverwaltungen können auf die Ansiedlung von ausländischen Unternehmen Einfluss nehmen und diese im begrenzten Rahmen mitgestalten. Hierbei können die wirtschaftsfördernden Maßnahmen zu Konflikten mit Investoren und deren Repräsentanten, aber auch mit Vertretern der (über)regionalen Industriezweige führen. Flexible und langfristige Anwerbemaßnahmen von und Niederlassungsbedingungen für Investoren können ein Weg sein, ausländische Investoren langfristig anzuziehen, genauso wie die Zulassung oder sogar Förderung migrantischer Infrastrukturen sowie deren öffentlichkeitswirksame Vermarktung.

Abstract

Local actors, such as municipal authorities, can promote and shape the settlement of foreign companies in a particular manner. In many instances, actions of economic promotion can lead to several conflicts; firstly between foreign investors and their national representatives, and secondly with (supra)regional industries or business circles. Here, flexible and long-term settlement projects, the permission of migrant infrastructure, and moreover, their high-profile marketing may attract foreign companies and long-term investors.
