This article contains statements suggesting that EMCV belongs to the genus Enterovirus. While both EMCV and CVB3 belong to the Picornaviridae family, EMCV belongs to the genus Cardiovirus and CVB3 to the genus Enterovirus. The correct statements are listed below:
