Preservation properties of the moment generating function ordering of residual lives

Abstract

The purpose of this note is to study some preservation properties of the moment generating function ordering of residual lives (mg-rl) under the reliability operations of mixture and convolution. Some examples of interest in reliability theory are also presented.
