Asymptotically optimal tests for some growth curve models under non-normal error structure

Abstract.

This paper considers growth curve models consisting of two stages. In the first stage we have a regression model with random parameter. The second stage is given by a linear model for the mean of the random parameter of the first stage. In the present paper we prove asymptotic optimality of tests for linear functions of the mean of the random parameter under non-normal error.
