There are typos in our publication (https://doi.org/10.1007/s00158-010-0602-y) regarding the minimal length scale in the intermediate design.
The labels of the longitudinal axis in Figs. 12, 20 and 21 were mistyped. The corrected ones are b/R, bs/R and bv/ R respectively.
On page 780, all the ratios b /2R should be b/R. In addition, b = 0.092L should be corrected to b = 0.046L.
