Zusammenfassung

Injizierbare Füllmaterialien sind ein fester Bestandteil der ästhetischen Medizin. In der Regel ist ihre Anwendung sicher. Grundsätzlich ist jedoch bei allen (Fremd-)Materialien die Gefahr von unerwünschten Reaktionen zu bedenken. Diese können akut, subakut und verzögert (bis zu Jahren nach der Injektion) auftreten. Klinisch zeigen sich u. a. Erytheme, Ödeme, Abszesse, Knotenbildung und Ulzerationen. Kenntnisse über diese unerwünschten Reaktionen sind wichtig, um sie adäquat, d. h. unter Berücksichtigung aller Aspekte wie Art der unerwünschten Reaktion, verwendetes Füllmaterial und ggf. Begleiterkrankungen, zu behandeln. Alle unerwünschten Reaktionen sollten an entsprechende Register bzw. die zuständigen Behörden gemeldet werden. Nur so können wir mehr über diese Reaktionen und ihre Behandlung erfahren.

Abstract

Injectable fillers are an established component of aesthetic medicine. In general they are safe to use. However, adverse reactions are possible for the whole spectrum of products. These reactions can occur immediately, subacute or delayed, e.g. after years. Erythema, edema, abscesses, nodule formation or even ulcerations can be observed. A correct diagnoses of these reactions is important to allow an appropriate treatment, taking into consideration the clinic, the injected material and if applicable other diseases/treatments that might contribute to these reactions. All of these reactions should be reported either to specialized registries and/or to the appropriate national agencies. Only then will we be able to learn more about these reactions and the best possible treatment.
