Abstract

The case of a 73-year-old woman with pelvic trauma and without a recognizable pelvic fracture or pelvic ring disruption on the initial ATLS pelvic X-ray is presented. Hyperselective embolization of the left obturator artery was performed in order to control hemodynamic instability. Even phenomenologically trivial injuries could be associated with severe bleeding.
