Abstract

I provide a guided tour of historical and modern sites related to the history of physics in Cracow. These include the Jagellonian University, the Henryk Niewodniczański Institute of Nuclear Physics, and the Faculty of Physics and Nuclear Techniques of the AGH-University of Science and Technology.

A map of Cracow can be found at the website http//www.krakow.pl/miasto/mapa/ mapa_en.php. Adam Strzałkowski is Professor of Physics at the Jagellonian University in Cracow. The Polish monarch at this time was always crowned King, irrespective of gender. Thus, after Jadwiga’s marriage to Władysław Jagiełło, Poland had two Kings until Jadwiga’s death in 1399.
