Abstract

The second-generation A-Class presented the task of developing a diesel engine in three power versions with improved comfort properties and an inclined installation position. With the new OM 640 common rail engine, Mercedes-Benz now offers an attractive engine that combines comfort, agility and performance with impressive fuel consumption figures.
