Samenvatting

Evenzeer als een hoge concentratie LDL (low-density lipoprotein)-cholesterol een risicofactor is voor het optreden en verergeren van harten vaatziekten, is een lage spiegel van HDL (high-density lipoprotein)-cholesterol dat. In onderstaand onderzoek wordt, behalve van simvastatine, gebruik gemaakt van nicotinezuur en anti-oxidantvitaminen.
