Resumen
La asociación de radioterapia y quimioterapia con taxanos está permitiendo mejorar los resultados del tratamiento de los carcinomas no microcíticos de pulmón en estadios IIIA y B, objetivándose asimismo un incremento de la toxicidad, fundamentalmente a nivel esofágico y pulmonar, presentándose clínicamente como esofagitis y neumonitis, tanto agudas como crónicas, siendo en la mayoría de las series la toxicidad más frecuente la esofágica y en muchas ocasiones la limitante de la dosis tanto de radioterapia, como de quimioterapia.
Presentamos dos casos de pacientes tratados con radioterapia y quimioterapia con taxanos, obteniéndose en ambos una respuesta completa local, presentan-do en su evolución cuadros de afagia secundaria a es-tenosis esofágica, de etiología benigna muy probable-mente secundario a una esofagitis crónica provocada por la combinación terapéutica utilizada.
Abstract
Combined treatment with radiochemotherapy associating taxans is improving the results of non small cell lung cancer in stages IIIA and B, with an increment of esophagus and lung toxicities principally being the former the most frequent in the literature.
We report 2 cases of patients treated with radiochemotherapy with taxans who achieved complete response of local tumor, presenting in their evolution aphagia secundary to benign estenosis probably secundary to chronic esophagitis.
