Abstract

The present status of lattice measurements with fermions is discussed. Methods are presented which improve the extraction of particle masses using staggered fermions. It is suggested that fermion physics on blocked lattices might show improvement as compared to that on lattices generated with the Wilson action. This idea is tested by comparing results from 183×42 lattices generated atβ=6.2 with results from the 63×14 lattices obtained from them by twice blocking with a 31/2 transformation. Also, a comparison of 83×16 blocked and Wilson axis lattices is made. Finally, three point correlators are used to elucidate the properties of the scalar isoscalar channel.
