Annals of the Institute of Statistical Mathematics Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

Aki (1987,Ann. Inst. Statist. Math,39, 457–472) develops a theory of extending the test for symmetry about zero of a continuous distribution functionF. In this paper we discuss the same testing problem in the case where the probabilityF(0) of being negative is unknown, which is assumed to be known in Aki's paper.
