Xylem vessel regeneration in carnation in response to infection by Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. dianthi

Samenvatting

Vatbare en resistente anjerstekken werden via een stengelwond geïnoculeerd metFusarium oxysporum f.sp.dianthi. Als reactie op de infectie werd in stengels van resistente anjers hyperplastisch xyleemparenchym gevormd waarin door regeneratie nieuwe xyleemvaten ontstonden. De regeneratie vond evenwijdig aan bestaande xyleemvaten plaats, die verstopt waren met gels of beschadigd waren door de schimmel.
