Summary
In 1981, 1983, and 1984 successful breeding of 1–2 females could be proved in Schleswig-Holstein. These are the first breeding records for Germany. Some older records are doubtful. The breeding of the species in Europe west of its range is shortly discussed. In the last decades single pairs successfully bred in Denmark.
