Abstract
A preliminary attempt has been made to develop a quantitative measure of continuity of care in a community mental health center based on the amount of client movement among the center's essential treatment services consistent with therapeutic need, and the use of mechanisms promoting continuity when clients transfer among these center services. This paper reports on the application of this instrument to a community menial health center for a 1-month period.
