Abstract

This article presents the electric shift gearbox (ESG), which ideally combines the advantages of the twin clutch gearbox and a minimum hybrid driveline. By mounting the electrical motor to the gearbox input shaft, all hybrid functions can be achieved without needing any further components. The article describes the design and construction of the system and presents measuring results of specific driving situations.
