Résumé

Cet article livre une synthèse de connaissances portant sur l’activité électrodermale des patients douloureux chroniques. Leur réactivité électrodermale à des stimulations douloureuses phasiques est décrite comparativement à celle de volontaires sains. L’activité électrodermale présentée par les patients en dehors des accès de douleur est ensuite étudiée, au repos d’abord, puis lors d’évocations de la douleur. L’incidence d’une dépression comorbide sur l’activité électrodermale est abordée.

Abstract

This article provides a synthesis of what is known about electrodermal activity in chronic pain patients. Their electrodermal reactivity to phasic painful stimulation is described and compared with that of healthy volunteers. Electrodermal activity presented by the patients when not in pain is then studied, firstly at rest and then when thinking about pain. The incidence of comorbid depression is addressed.
