Abstract
It is of great interest to ensure the required accuracy and surface roughness of saddle sockets in the housing of a direct-flow valve, without sacrificing productivity. To that end, a hydraulic boring bar has been developed to simultaneously machine the sockets in two opposed surfaces; the design is covered by an Inventor’s Certificate. When using the hydraulic boring bar, the positional precision is automatically guaranteed, and the productivity is doubled.
