The stipitate hydnums (Thelephoraceae) of Florida

Abstract

A taxonomic study of the stipitate terrestrial hydnums of Florida was undertaken. Eleven species belonging toHydnellum, Phellodon, andSarcodon were found. Of these,Phellodon implicatus is described as new and a microscopic analysis showed that this species is the second knownPhellodon with abundant clamp connections in the tramal tissue.
