Abstract
The booster synchrotron of the NICA accelerator complex in Dubna is designed for the preliminary accumulation and acceleration of heavy ions before injection into the Nuclotron. This article presents experimental and calculated data on the static heat leak and dynamic heat releases in quadrupole magnets of the booster synchrotron. The results will be taken into account for the development of new superconducting magnets and cryogenic installations.
