Abstract

Gold catalysis has emerged as an important tool in the field of synthetic organic chemistry for the selective functionalization of C–C multiple bonds. The research in India on gold catalysis focuses on diverse fields starting from the methodology developments to the synthesis of molecular scaffolds for their potential application in medicinal chemistry and material science. Herein, we present a comprehensive overview of the gold-catalyzed organic transformations that were reported in India in the last fifteen years.
