Samenvatting

Slaapproblemen bij kinderen zijn een veelvoorkomende klacht die ouders met hun arts bespreken. Een (chronisch) slaaptekort heeft zowel voor de kinderen als hun ouders gevolgen voor het dagelijks functioneren. Veel van deze problemen kunnen echter opgelost worden wanneer de ouders voorlichting krijgen over een doelgerichte en effectieve aanpak van de slaapproblemen. In deze bijdrage bespreken we de evidence-based aanpak van slaapproblemen van gedragsmatige aard.
