New Chemical Constituents from Artemisia austriaca

Six compounds including the new monoterpene 5R-hydroxy-2,3,6-trimethylcyclohepta-2,6-dien-1-one (1) and the five compounds (26) identified as 2α,5β-dihydroxy-β-pinene (2), 4-hydroxyacetophenone (3), syringaldehyde (4), 5-hydroxy-4-isopropylfuran-2(5H)-one (5), and chenopanone (6) were isolated from the aerial part of Artemisia austriaca and from this plant for the first time. Their molecular formula and chemical structures were established.
