Abstract
It is important to find and measure autonomic biomarkers in alpha-synucleinopathies like Parkinson’s disease and multiple system atrophy to improve the quality of life for our patients as these are negative predictive factors for the course of these diseases. Patient’s history should contain questions about cardiovascular and urogenital abnormalities, sleep and thermoregulatory disorders. A routine diagnostic check-up focusing on the autonomic nervous system should always include blood pressure and heart rate evaluation through standing test.
