The original version of this article unfortunately contains a mistake. Page 8, paragraph 1 in the left column (4th paragraph of Discussion): the sentence “a similar gap can only exceptionally be assumed for a cell type that constitutes early globular stage embryos in the case of Arabidopsis thaliana (Scheres et al. 1995, Yoshida et al. 2014)” should be “a similar gap can only exceptionally be assumed for a cell type that constitutes 8-cell stage embryos in the case of Arabidopsis thaliana (Yoshida et al. 2014)”.
