Abstract
This paper presents an approach to design three-dimensional representations of situation awareness regarding to civil security. For this purpose the approach combines geoanalytical methods with three-dimensional geovisualization techniques and facilitates an intuitive communication of complex geospatial phenomena — especially for untrained map readers and responsible decision makers.
