Conclusions
A study has been made on the heat propagation in a solid steel 45 shaft on local heating by a mobile source to a temperature above the Ac1 point. The surface phase composition has been calculated after cooling (pearlite-ferrite, martensite, and beinite). Simulation has been performed by the finite-element method on the basis of the temperature dependence of the thermophysical parameters.
