Abstract

Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) generation gets expanded day by day due to fast urbanization and expand in population. This creates an unfavorable impact on surroundings due to the fact it pollutes nature and also acts as medium for breeding of flies. Currently, Erode District, which situated in Tamil Nadu state, India, is additionally going through this problem. The Municipality Corporation of Erode has hooked up 18 new Micro-Compost Center (MCC) in function to reduce the quantity of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) but by taking population growth into consideration the current MCCs will not be sufficient in future,so there will be a need of new MCC. This paper aim is to establish the new sites that will be appropriate for erection of new MCC in future by integrating the geospatial data of MCC into Geographic Information System (GIS) for GIS-based analysis.
