EPR and Spin-Relaxation Peculiarities in Layer Crystals

Magnetic Resonance and Related Phenomena

Abstract

EPR and spin-relaxation are studied in layer crystals BiI3 and GaSe doped with Mn, Cr, Gd at 4.2 – 400 K. Single and aggregate centers are identified. The linearity of the spin Hamiltonian constants variation and the graduality of the spin-relaxation rates variation are explained at low temperatures using low-frequency phonon optical modes.
