Zusammenfassung

Zu den zahlreichen stereotypen Vorstellungen, die nach wie vor hinsichtlich des Älterwerdens und Altseins existieren, gehören auch bestimmte Annahmen über Veränderungen des Zeiterlebens. So zählt dazu die Auffassung, der Blick in die Zukunft werde mit zunehmendem Alter beeinträchtigt, während das Nachdenken über die Vergangenheit an Bedeutung gewinne; häufig rechnet man mit einer Einschränkung der Zukunfts- auf Kosten der Vergangenheitsperspektive.
