Abstract
The decision of a clinician to treat or not to treat a particular hypertensive patient with hypotensive drugs shall be based on the health status of this patient and on data derived from different sources; the latter can be grouped into two major categories: epidemiological studies and intervention trials.
This and other studies in our laboratory are supported by the National Research Council (NFWO).
