Zusammenfassung

Der plötzliche Säuglingstod oder Sudden Infant Death (SID) wird definiert als der plötzliche Tod eines Säuglings, der aufgrund der Anamnese unerwartet ist und bei dem eine gründliche postmortale Untersuchung – einschließlich einer Beurteilung der Auffindesituation – keine adäquate Todesursache zu zeigen vermag.
