Definition

Responsibility mounted in every investment company to keep creating relationship which is in harmony, in balance and suitable to the local community’s neighborhood, values, norms and culture. (Law No. 25 of the Republic Indonesia 2007)

CSR is a concept whereby companies act to balance their own economic growth with the sustainable social and environmental development of their areas of operation. A company performing highly in CSR is one that goes beyond compliance with the legal framework to actively pursue positive impacts on local communities and its environmental footprint. (NEF 2009)
