Summary
The gamma-ray background components of the Budapest PGAA-NIPS facilities have been extensively studied. Sources and production processes for the background gamma-rays have been identified and collected in tables. The data obtained here may help to identify background components at other PGAA or slow neutron capture facilities, and can be useful at any facility where neutrons are present and produce background gamma-radiation.
