Definition
Aid effectiveness might be understood as Paris Declaration (2005) and its principles and commitments that became some self-referencing of aid effectiveness. On the base of management of aid, aid effectiveness can be understood as planning, management, and deployment of aid that is efficient, reduces transaction costs, and is aimed at sustainable development outcomes, including poverty reduction. “Aid (or ‘development aid’ if we consider the aim and desired result) effectiveness” might be also understood as the achievement of sustainable development results (goals) that have country level impacts, including effects on the lives of the poor.
