Abstract
Genitofemoral nerve innervates skin of the inguinoscrotal region. Its cutaneous innervation overlaps with that of the iliohypogastric and ilioinguinal nerves. Genitofemoral nerve blocks are used as regional blocks for surgical procedures and as diagnostic procedures in work up and management of chronic pain. This chapter discusses anatomy, nerve block techniques, indications, contraindications and complications of nerve block.
