Abstract
In this chapter we develop the basic model postulated by James Lovelock and Lynn Margulis to explore the “Gaia Hypothesis” the put forward in the 1960s and 1970s as an explanation for the processes by which living organisms create the conditions suitable for habitation of life on a planet.
One ring to rule them all, one ring to bind them, One ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them.
